Terms

Terms and conditions

These terms apply to every offer, order and delivery by JvE Advice through climate-data.info. Last updated: 9 October 2026.

1. Who I am and who these terms are for

Climate-Data.info is run by JvE Advice, a sole proprietorship of Johan van Erven. Stadsmolen 123, 3146 CV Maassluis, the Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce (KvK) 95150390, VAT number NL004434269B71. Email: info@jve-advice.com.

My reports are made for businesses: growers, installers, suppliers, advisers and investors. When you order, you confirm that you act for a business or a profession.

2. Offer and order

All prices on this website are in euro and exclude VAT. Your order on the website is a request. It becomes an agreement when I confirm it by email. I can refuse an order, for example when I cannot find enough data for your location.

An offer that I send you by email is valid for 30 days, unless it says otherwise.

3. Prices, invoice and payment

  • After your order I send you an invoice. You pay by bank transfer within 14 days after the invoice date, unless we agreed otherwise. If I offer online payment, the payment page explains how it works.
  • For customers in the Netherlands I add Dutch VAT. For business customers in other EU countries with a valid VAT number, I invoice without VAT (reverse charge). In all other cases the VAT rules that apply to the sale are followed.
  • Your report goes online within 24 hours after I receive your payment. For packs with an agreed payment schedule, such as the Ultimate pack, the schedule in my offer applies.
  • If you pay late, I may pause my work and charge the statutory commercial interest and reasonable collection costs.

4. What you receive

A report contains historical weather data for the GPS location you give me, shown in an online report, together with the data in an Excel file as described on the report page on the day you order. You receive access by email at the addresses you gave me.

Please check your GPS location before you order. If I made a mistake, I correct it free of charge. If the location you gave was not the right one, tell me, and I will let you know what a new report costs.

Access to a report is personal. Do not share your sign-in details with others.

5. How you may use a report

  • You may use the report and its data for your own business and for the project it was made for. You may share it with your own customers, advisers and financiers for that project.
  • You may not sell or publish the report or its data, or put it in a product or a public database, without my written permission.
  • I keep all rights to the reports, the graphs, the methods and this website. Data from third parties remain subject to the terms of their source.
  • Want to use reports for something else, such as a product, a training or a presentation? Ask me. I am happy to find a solution.

6. Information, not advice

The reports are based on historical meteorological data that I collect and process with care. They are made for information and to support decisions. Weather in the past does not guarantee weather in the future.

I cannot guarantee that the data are complete, free of errors or suitable for your specific project. A report is not a substitute for professional advice about crop strategy, greenhouse design or investments. For that, please ask a qualified adviser.

My other business connections in the horticultural sector do not influence the content of the reports. Data and analyses are produced independently.

I may improve the methods behind the reports. A report that was delivered stays as it was delivered.

7. Complaints

Did you find a mistake, or does something not work? Tell me by email within 14 days after delivery. I will look at it quickly. If the mistake is mine, I correct or remake the report free of charge.

A complaint does not delay your duty to pay the invoice.

8. Cancellation and refunds

Every report is made for one location, so it is not a standard product. You can cancel free of charge within 24 hours after my confirmation, as long as the report has not been delivered yet. After that, or after delivery, the full price is due.

A delivered report cannot be returned or refunded, unless I did not deliver what I promised.

9. Liability

  • My liability is limited to the amount I invoiced (excluding VAT) for the report that the damage is about.
  • I am not liable for indirect damage, such as lost yield, lost profit, or the cost of investments and crop decisions that you made based on a report.
  • These limits do not apply to intent or deliberate recklessness, or where the law does not allow them.

10. Confidentiality and personal data

I treat your location and company details as confidential. I do not use your name or your project as a reference without your permission.

How I handle personal data is described in the privacy statement.

11. Demo and client portal

Demo reports are for you to look at and to judge my reports. Do not copy or share them. I can close an account when sign-in details are misused.

12. Applicable law and changes

Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in the district where I am established (Rotterdam), unless the law says otherwise. If something goes wrong, please email me first. Most things can be solved by talking.

I may change these terms. The terms in force on the day of your order apply to that order. The date at the top shows the latest version.
